I feel closest to God when I’m writing and that’s how I figure out what I’m thinking and feeling. That being said, I’ve been writing non-stop lately just to feel His presence. Today it felt like these words were meant for someone who has dealt with some “pretty crippling anxiety” and their disappointments has unknowingly caused them to numb their heart towards God. If that’s you, you’re are in the right place…Lean in friends: Our feelings are both fleeting and ephemeral, arent they? Anxiety wants to tell you that you can’t possibly get it done. You can’t make an impact. You can’t make a difference. Anxiety wants to sit you down and spin your wheels with all sorts of thoughts. “Am I good enough?”, “Do I have what it takes?”, “Can I really make this happen?” Trust me friends, I know how scary that can seem. That was my entire last year. It was a stretch of desert, a deep level of abiding that I didn’t even know I was capable of. And to be honest, it wasn’t graceful. There were many many days where my prayer journal was just a collection of phrases and scribbled prayers. But here’s the good: If you’re in that place don’t run. I’m here to tell you that whatever obstacles have been thrown at you — there’s an opportunity to encounter God in the midst of it. It’s okay to have low days. Take a moment to breathe, think, go for a walk, and just be without having a moment to respond, act, work or pretend. It’s not like God doesn’t know how you feel, He KNOWS. And that’s the awesome part of having an authentic relationship with Him. You have nothing to hide from him…And if there’s anything I’ve learned from all of this (good or hard) is that God is way more concerned in building INSIDE of you ( your character) versus what He is building THROUGH you. And although this renovation might be painful — I’m walking proof that hard does not last forever. I hope these words find their person today. Amen! God bless.💕Blessings and Love….😊🙏❤
