The phrase “get off my lawn” that I hear quite often on my favorite sports show Pardon the Interruption. It always strikes me funny when they use the phrase concerning the sports attitudes and behavior of younger generations and I’m beginning to wonder if I’m enjoying the phrase too much at this age. I cheer on our local ornery swan when he tells the younger swans to “get off my lake”and whenever Harper feels the needto tell the turkeysor geese to get off her lawn.Even though I feel like I’m losing touch with the younger generations, I don’t think I’ve influenced Harper and she is most likely reacting to vibes from the swansand her interpretation of gobble, gobble.

It always strikes me funny when they use the phrase concerning the sports attitudes and behavior of younger generations and I’m beginning to wonder if I’m enjoying the phrase too much at this age. I cheer on our local ornery swan when he tells the younger swans to “get off my lake”

and whenever Harper feels the need

to tell the turkeys

or geese to get off her lawn.

Even though I feel like I’m losing touch with the younger generations, I don’t think I’ve influenced Harper and she is most likely reacting to vibes from the swans

and her interpretation of gobble, gobble.
